This spring when the Winter is rapidly receding, I was dying to go for a vacation. And, I could think of no place better than South India to feed my travel desires. So, after thorough research, I settled upon these unique places in South India that I have added in my travel bucket list. Come along with me as I introduce you to these charming places. #1. Coorg - "The Scotland of India"
As the name suggests, Coorg or Kodagu is a small district in Karnataka. If you are looking for a place away from the hustle and bustle of the city, into a magical land, where Mother Nature reigns undisturbed, then it's Coorg. From stunning landscapes to acres of coffee and tea plantations to Sandalwood forest to the amazing culture and welcoming people, Coorg is a wonderful place to visit in South India.

#2. Coonoor - "The Land of Nilgiri Tea"
Located in the State of Tamil Nadu, you should add Coonoor to your bucket list of Places to visit in South India in March. The temperature here is around 25 degrees in March and ideal to see the awe gasping beauty of the Nilgiri hills.

It has a lake and is surrounded by the Meghamalai Mountain range. This place is particularly known for Coffee and Cardamom plantation. You need to take a 2-hour long drive from Theni to reach here.

Munnar in Kerala is your ideal go-to destination, especially to experience the Indian Spring season in March. The tea plantation on the hills, the lush greenery and the mouth-watering Malayali food is a fabulous combination, that makes Munnar a must visit place in Kerala. Munnar is also a very popular honeymoon destination in India.

#5. Devikulam - "An exploration of Spirituality"
Devikulam is just 5km away from Munnar. It is often missed by tourists. Devikulam gets its name and significance from the Mythological history of Ramayana which states that Devi Sita has bathed here, and since then it is called the "lotus pond of the Goddess". The water in this pond is said to be highly medicinal as well! A trip here in March would be perfect as during the summers it'll be packed with tourists.

There is no official introduction needed to explain the beauty of Ooty. Tucked away in the Blue Nilgiri Hills, Ooty is your quintessential honeymoon destination in South India. Also one of the best places to visit in South India in March to feel revived int he blessed beauty of nature.

If you are looking for a beach vacation in South India, then you must head to the Lakshadweep Islands. Located off the Kerala Coast, this archipelago is also one of the most developed places to be. If you are visiting the Lakshadweep Islands in March, then you'll enjoy a lot as the crowds shall be less and the weather shall be pleasant, devoid of rainfall.
