- Maple Syrup - Most people will use light brown sugar. But, I like the sticky taste that Maple Syrup contributes to the sauce. It caramelizes so well and brings a umami flavor.

- Fresh Ginger - Ginger takes the taste of this dish to one notch higher. It simply adds more depth to the recipe.
- Green Onions + Sesame Seeds - That final touch to make it look more Asian.

Tips to Make Easy Baked Teriyaki Salmon Recipe
- Avoid Overcooking your Salmon - For best and accurate cooking use a instant read thermometer to check if the salmon is done. Fish is fully cooked at 145°F but I generally take it out of the oven a few degrees early because while the salmon is resting it is still cooking.
- Keep the Skin on - You can go with skin on or skin off. I personally like it with skin on. Again, that is a personal preference. In my experience, the fish is a dried out when you cook it with skin off.
Is it better to bake Salmon at 350 or 400?
The best temperature to bake salmon is 400°F or 205°C as this is the temperature where the fish gets that golden color and the skin gets crispy.
How long does it take to cook Salmon at 400 degrees?
As a general rule, when you are baking Salmon in foil at 400°F you can expect the cooking time to be around 12-20 minutes depending on the thickness of the fillet.
Is it better to bake salmon covered or uncovered?
When you bake salmon uncovered the fish gains a taste and a texture. And, honestly, even the thicker fillets don't take longer than 15-20 minutes in the oven.
For Ideal results, I recommend bake the salmon uncovered in the oven.
Is it better to pan fry or oven bake salmon?
It is best to oven bake salmon because Salmon is high in fat and high in protein and when you pan fry it produces glycotoxins. Therefore I'd recommend baking your Salmon in the oven than pan frying.
