One day trip in Delhi
To start your One day trip
India Gate is a World War II Memorial, which is located on the Raj Path. It's one of the most Iconic tourist places to visit in Delhi. (However, just one suggestion - Don't visit here during the Summer months, especially if it's after 10 AM, it gets extremely hot here, and you can fall seriously ill. You can visit India Gate in the Evening as well. But, on Winter Mornings, this is the Perfect place to be!)
The India Gate is open always, and you do not need to take any tickets to visit it.
Now, since, you are in the Rajpath, you must know, this is where the Republic Day Parades are held every year on 26th January.
Also, visit the Rashtrapati Bhavan - The Official Residence of the President of India.
Next, you can board the Yellow line of Delhi Metro from "Central Secretariat Metro Station" and deboard at "Rajiv Chowk Metro Station". Or you can take an Auto Rickshaw from Central Secretariat to Rajiv Chowk or Connaught Place.

You can also visit the Jantar Mantra and Agrasen Kind Baoli when in CP.
The Jantar Mantar is one of the popular historical places in Delhi. It was built by Maharaja Jai Singh II of Jaipur. This 18th Century Astronomical observatory is a sight to behold. (Timing: 9 am to 5 pm)
If you aren't a history enthusiast, then skip Jantar Mantar, and spend some time at the Agrasen Ki Baoli. These 108 steps steep well, is an ancient water reserve, and also the site where major Bollywood movies like PK, Sultan, and Mom are shot. (Timing: 6 am to 6 pm)
Next, you can take an auto rickshaw to Chandni Chowk. You can try food walk in Chandni Chowk. (Suggested read: Everything you need to know about Chandni Chowk, and the ever-popular food stores there.)
Or you can head straight down to the Red Fort. You can visit the Red Fort in around an hour and a half. You cannot miss out on Red Fort. It's one of the Best Tourist places in Delhi.
After Red Fort, you can take a rickshaw to Jama Masjid and spend some time there. Also enjoy some delicious Kebabs and Biryanis at Karim's. It's one of the popular places to eat in Delhi or you can say Old Delhi.
Next, from here you can take the Violet line of Delhi Metro from "Jama Masjid metro
You can deboard at "Lajpat Nagar Metro Station". Lajpat Nagar is one of the most popular shopping places in Delhi. You can shop here.
Now you must visit the Humayun's Tomb here. You will have to take an auto rickshaw to reach here. But do visit it. I am guessing you'll be here around sunset, so hold tight for the best photographs!
Next, you can take Pink Line Metro towards Majlis Park from Lajpat Nagar Metro station and get down at INA metro station and take exit gate no 1 (only if you wish to visit the Dilli Haat).
You can visit the Dilli Haat if you are looking for Handicraft shopping. It's one of the best
The same Yellow Line Delhi Metro which is going towards "Huda City Center" will drop you at Qutub Minar Metro station. Get out and watch the best sunset over this tallest brick minaret. You can take an e-rickshaw or auto rickshaw to reach here. Or you can take an auto rickshaw as well from Lajpat Nagar, to reach Qutub Minar.
After this, you can again board the same metro and head down to Sikanderpur Metro Station.
Deboard at Sikanderpur and take rapid metro going towards IndusInd Bank Cyber City Metro Station.
You can get down here and spend a relaxing evening at Cyber Hub. From food to club to some of the best posh restaurant in the city, it's all here.
If you do not like DLF Cyber Hub, then you can visit the Hauz Khas Village, which too is extremely popular for the best bars, restaurants and Cafes in Delhi.
