Here's the Step By Step Raw Banana Kofta Curry Recipe
Step 1: First, we will boil the potatoes and raw bananas, peel and wash them properly.
Step 2: Mix some finely chopped Onions, Raw Bananas, Potatoes, finely chopped ginger, some salt - (as per taste), one teaspoon of red chili powder, a pinch of turmeric powder and 2 tablespoons of gram flour in a bowl with your hand.
STEP 3: Now make small balls or Koftas of this mixture.
STEP4: Take a shallow bottom Non-Stick Frying pan and pour in some oil.
STEP 5: Put your balls or Koftas into the pan and fry them in low flame until they are golden brown from all the sides.
Now we are done making the Koftas. You can keep it aside and let them cool down at room temperature. We will move on to make the Raw Banana Kofta gravy or the curry.
STEP 6: For that, take halved onions, garlic cloves, and one cinnamon stick in a blender and blend it a fine puree.
STEP 7: Take a wok and pour in some oil. When it gets a little hot, throw in some dried red chilies (broken) - You may ignore this step if you don't want your gravy to be spicy - and some Cumin seeds. Wait till you hear the splatter sound and finally, pour in the fine puree that you just made of onions and garlic. This is the point when you can add some salt as per your taste.
STEP 8: Simmer it until you see oil oozing out from the side. This is when you'll know that it's properly cooked.
STEP 9: Once it's cooked, pour in some water and throw in some more boiled and peeled potatoes and allow it to boil for some time.
STEP 10: Finally take a small bowl and put in your koftas and slowly pour the gravy or the curry over the koftas.
So, that's it. This was how a Raw Banana Kofta Curry is made at my home.
